Doctors well checks.

Harrison and Allister went to the doctors today for their well check ups. Harrison's 3 year, and Allister's 15 month.

They are both doing great! Doing everything they should, and some things they shouldn't ;)

Harrison:
Height 40" (3ft4") Greater than 97th percentile- I had him at home at 41" and he was tilting his head a little today at the docs, so he may be in between.
Weight 40.4lb 95th Percentile.
Blood pressure 76/46 which is the first time he has had this taken!

BMI was fine, he is the average size of a 4 year old, the doctor said they have a saying 4 year old and 40 inches. No wonder I get looks when I say he is 2, although I cant say that much older so I will lose the shock value lol ;)
Harrison has been doing summer school a few days, he loves it! Its so much fun for him. This week they have been playing zoo's, each kid has a pretend zoo map, and they made their own binoculars -or noculas as Harrison says. He came home and rummaged around for a map, and proceeded to hunt the house height and low for animals! So cute :) He is so into make believe right now, he will make up stories and tell you them at night time. They sound allot like the ones we tell him. He is the youngest in his summer camp class, but the tallest. They put him in a class with older kids because of several reasons. He is so big that when he roughhouses with the boys he tends to be a little too rough because he is so much bigger than them! Also because he is potty trained its better for him to be in a class where they all go potty, not just him and the little guys!
I feel like he is much better suited to the older kiddies, he seems to have a lot more in common with them.

Allister also did great on his check!

Height 32 1/2" 85 percentile
weight 26.6lb 80th percentile.

He is exactly the same weight Harrison was at 15months old, but a tiny bit shorter.
He is doing great, using his words and signs! He's is walking well and adorable- Her words not mine :)

Allister is 15 months!

It's been a while since I did an update on the little guy.
So heres what he is up to lately....

He is very vocal and loves to exercise those vocal chords, with screams and giggles.
He uses the following new words, signs and sounds.

Yes and shakes his head very obviously! So cute :)
Signs more
Signs all done
Signs potty
Signs wash
Signs more and says more
Says...
Dadeeeeee
Oink oink- Sounds more like some weird animal but thats what it means!
Cat
Shoe or shhhhh
This- Dis
That Dat

I think thats it? He says Dis and Dat pretty much all day log! He will point and say "Dat" and nod his head yes. Its very cute :)

He loves to sing! And dance too, ill have to get it on video.

Harrison and Allister love to play now, they will chase each other around and have a lot of fun. Its so fun to watch.

Allister doesn't love the water as much as Harrison, we have been to the pool and fountain a few times and he enjoys it, but theres not so much sheer excitement!

He is such a big helper! I didn't realize the power of a helping toddler when I had Harrison, so I never really got him to help out. Because of this he only started to help with things more recently. Allister, however, will fetch his diaper and wipes when he needs changing, and put his dirty one in the trash. He understands so much now! I love it :)

Allister has his 15 month well check tomorrow, along with Harrison's 3 year check, so I will post an update then!

Colds.

All in the Blake household have had colds recently..............with all this nose blowing and wiping Harrison has learned to blow his nose all by himself.
All by himself he went over to the box of tissue, held them to his nose and started to blow. Of course the tissue was clean and Harrison was not, but its a good start~!

The next Jimi Hendrix?

Harrison is loving the Guitar lately.
He runs to it, says "Ga Ga" and plays.............

Thank you!

Harrison favorite new word is Thank You, although it sounds more like dadoooo. Its very cute.
We have some plastic pumpkins that he likes to play with, I figured real ones may be a bit messy in doors if he drops them!
Here's a little video....

There's a lot more videos to come, I have been very slack with uploading these so I am playing catchup! Don't forget to see a video you have to visit the actual blog, click on the link at the bottom of the page.

My BIG boy.

Harrison had his 15 month check up today. He's grown so much!

Weight: 26.6 lb 85 percentile
Height: 33 3/4 inches 96 percentile
Head: 47.6cm 60 Percentile

So his weight has finally caught up with his height!
My doctor recommended thinking about a toddler or twin bed already, which I don't really want to do! But he is so tall and he is already putting his foot up on the top rail, so he may be climbing out of it before too long!

Words

Here is the last list of words I came up with that Harrison says.

Ball
Balloon
Book
Mama
Woof Woof
Monkey Noises
Dada
Fish
Cat
Hat
Up
Banana
Apple
Open
Drink
That
House
Car
Tree
Dog
Poop

Hand
Bird
Hi
Fork
Shoe
Out
Hair
Horse
More
Pool
Clock
Car
Truck
Rock
Duck
Cat
Moo
Quack
Dog
Open
Again

Ive probably forgotten some, but its a pretty impressive list for my little chatter box don't you think!
We are off to Harrison's 15 month check up and shots today, we will update you later.

15 Months Old!

Another month passes.........................here's a little update.
Harrison is growing like a weed! He will shortly be out of 18 month old clothes and into 24 months.
He is learning new words almost every day now, his latest words are words ending in "k". Instead of satying "Boo" for Book, he now says "Gook". He says "Clock
and "Rock". He also says "more" now when he signs, so I guess he will be dropping the sign language soon and just focusing on the words! I am actually beginning to lose track of them now, at last count he was over 30 words.

Balls are still his favorite toy, closely followed by books and anything to do with animals.
We think we may be down to one nap per day now, with all the visitors its just kind of happened otherwise my guests would never get out of the house! I may just stick with it, he is sleeping longer at night, and then 2/3 hours around lunch time.
He is definitely all BOY BOY BOY! He loves to climb and use Mummy as a climbing frame, giggling and climbing all over me. He doesn't realise his own strength!
We have been using time outs over the last month or two with great effect. Mainly when he touches something or climbs on something dangerous and its been so effective that I cant remember the last time out I had to do! He is finally realising the word no and the consequences of doing something he shouldn't.
He still eats pretty much anything you put in front of him, but LOVES grapes and Spaghetti the best. Oh and hot dogs if I let him eat them, but we keep them as an occasional treat.
He is doing better at not running off, although its still a work in progress. He will hold your hand now, but not all the time.
I thinks that's all for now folks! Its been nice to get a chance to update you all, we have been MIA for a few months.
x

Puddle Love

This boy loves water, in every form!
