Another weekend, another race.

We're getting used to doing races every other weekend in this house!

This weekend Matt ran Strides For Hope.

A 5k with a great cause, supporting Ovarian Cancer.

He didn't manage to win this one, his friend Snuck up behind him at the last minute and beat him by 2 seconds. Second place and a 16:05 5k is not too shabby though right!?

And I'm training for my second Half Marathon!

Winner!

Marathon Matt finally won a race.

I say finally because he's ran so many, and I knew he had it in him!

We're so proud of Daddy Matt, although I have to say the kids kind of expect him to win lol

Matt ran the Emerald City race here In Dublin. He chose to race the 1/4 marathon. A nice short distance built for speed.

Here he is at the off.

We managed to see Daddy at 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 miles as the route lapped around. Then we dashed back to the finish. Trying to get both boys to the car, into car seats and drive to the finish and get there in time to see the finish was tough! But we made it with 2 minutes to spare :)

He came in at 36:02 which is a course record.

That's a 5:30 minute mile pace.

Crazy.

Second place was a whole 2m30seconds behind!

Well done Marathon Matt! Now let's win some races with prize money ;0)
