Meet the teacher.

Allister got to meet his new teacher at Moms Day Out today.

He will go 2 morning a week.

His teachers are Miss Diana and Miss Christine.

Here he is with Miss Diana.

Playing in art with our neighbors little boy.

And the sand box digging for treasure in Science.

In Music we played with the parachute and balls. We banged drums too.

And his favorite the playground.

Allister is so ready for this fun program.

He has been dragged to MDO twice a week his whole life to watch his big brother go have fun, now it's his turn. My baby grew up!

I will also get some mummy time. Not much mind, I will drop Allister off at 9:30 and then pick Harrison up at 11:30. By the time I get in and out of the car and to and from school I recon I'll have around 3 hours a week.

I bet I'm spend my whole time cleaning.

He starts Tueday. We're all excited!

Big boy haircuts.

I took the boys to a proper hairdresser to get their haircuts. They look so grown up and super cute!

Allister's 2 year check.

Allister had his 2 year well check last week.

He's a big boy like his brother! It funny because I thought he was going to be more average height, but apparently he too is off the charts in height. I guess I'm just used to his big brother!

Height - 37" greater than 97%

Weight 31lb 87%

Head 19.3cm 60%

So once again we have a tall boy. He's doing everything he should and more. Talking up a storm! Jumping, counting. He's learning his colors, shapes and numbers. Everything is red or purple :)

Here are some adorable photos of him after a recent nap and a funky hairstyle he woke up with.

Conversations.

Harrison has been talking on the "phone" a lot lately.....

His side of the conversation today went like this.....

"Hello.
Its cold outside.
Tickle Harrison's tummy.
Its Harrison!
Oh, byeeee,"

So cute.

Those goats were super friendly!

First Day.

It was Harrison's first day at MDO this morning.
He LOVED IT!!!!!
He cam home in an awesome mood, went potty 4 times, or at least attempted to, and was such a good boy. He obviously loved it, and I enjoyed hanging out with Allister for the morning.

Here he is already to go in the car this morning.
We were so early we had to drive round the neighborhood.
Harrison kept saying "hurry Mummy, school!"

His SuperStar certificate.

And his crafts and art projects.

All this from just one day! I need to get a trunk :)
Expect future gifts of Harrison's art projects guys.

When I went to drop off Harrison this morning, they teacher scooped him up and off he went in the blink of an eye! So quick, I guess it helps prevent tears! I peaked through the little spy window they have and he was standing to the side of the class all quiet, not sure what to make of everything. He looked so little and lost! When I went to pick him up he screamed "Mummy!!!" at the top of his lungs and ran up to me all excited, it made me so so happy :D

So what did I do with all my time? Well it sort of vanished in a flash! I went straight to the doctors for Allister's one year check, more on that later) and didn't get home till 11:45. They were running very late! So I nursed Allister, out him down for a nap, scoffed my lunch, did 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed, cleaned Harrison's room, and then it was time to leave!
I have to say though, it was so much easier going to the doctors with just one baby!

I cant wait till Tuesday, Harrison will just love this program, its so good for all of us!

Moms Day Out.

Harrison had his first day at MDO today.
Moms Day Out, for those who don't know, is like a pre-School or Nursery school run by a church.
We went today from 9:30 till 11:30 just to look around and get to know the teachers. He will be in a class of only 4 boys, and they have 2 teachers! Pretty awesome ratio's huh.
They have a separate music, science, story and art teacher who will visit their classroom to teach.
Harrison loved it! They are all boys in his class, the teachers say the class sizes tend to grow throughout the year as Moms realize one day just isn't enough!
Harrison played in his classroom for an hour, and loved it! then we went to the playground and then the science, art and music rooms. Its a pretty awesome "school". I know he is going to have such fun there, and meet some new buddies!
He is the tallest in his class by far, although his class mates are a month or two younger than him.
His class is the "Kittens".

Here he is having a banana before the start of his big day!

Playing with the toys.

Outside in the playground, they try to take the kids out everyday.

So next Friday will be his first full day. Ill drop him off at 9:30 and pick him up at one! What will I do with myself with just one baby to take care of?

Painting.

Harrison and I have been spending time doing some fun things now we are all better. This week we have been painting lots, these top two are finger paints. They are made with those special "magic" Crayola paints that are invisible unless you paint on special "magic" paper. Makes for no mess!

These are normal paints, he had some help with this top one, he asked me to help him draw the Toy Story characters.

Fast asleep :)

A BAD first!

I have been dreading this first!
We spent last night cleaning up vomit and taking care or poor little Harrison.
He started being ill around 11:30 last night, then was up being sick every 30 minutes or sooner all night and through this morning. The poor little guy was so good, he handled it so well. Almost as well as Daddy Matt when Harrison threw up all over him this morning!
He has a mild fever and the sickness has slowed down, I am waiting a call from the Doctor to see if they want to see him, but I'm sure they don't as long
as he starts to keep something down, he wasn't even keeping water down this morning.
He keeps asking for food and drink so I have given him 1/4 apple and banana, he wants more but I am scared of the mess! Why do kids always throw up on the carpet?
He's sucking on a ice-pop right now as I thought he would have to eat it slowly!

Update:
So the doctor just called back, and said it sounds like a virus. He has since had a little diarrhea, so to follow the BRAT diet, Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. Once he is keeping liquids down, I guess the apples and bananas he already had are close match! He is a lot better, and hasn't been sick for almost 2 hours, I may risk some toast for lunch then hope we can all take a very long nap!

50/50

Right now Harrison is napping about 50% of the time, and that's being generous!
I guess he will be giving them up sooner than i thought, or maybe when he starts his MDO program, then preschool, he'll revert back to being a napper?
The days he naps sure are a lot easier on us all, he is an active little guy, and needs some extra sleep.
Harrison will be doing 2 days a week at his MDO, Tuesday and Friday morning 9:30-1pm. They will give him a packed lunch. I know he is going to love it! He is such a social little guy, he's going t have such fun, I cant wait to see his first craft project and hear all about his day!
I'm so excited for him :)
His first day is September 3rd.

It wouldn't be bathtime without...

A mow-hawk in the bath picture.

New heights.

Harrison is climbing again. I thought he outgrew this fad!
But alas no, he is up on everything again. But this time he can reach things I never thought possible.
He will stand on the kitchen table, the side table, his dresser drawers, his book shelf.
And the big one, he will sit on the kitchen counter.
Yesterday I was upstairs putting Allister down for a nap, and I return to Harrison sitting quiet happily on the kitchen worktop, drinking water from the cup I had placed there "out of reach".
We need to get this boy some rope to climb!
