I did a little re-organizing of the play room to get ready for Christmas and all the extra presents that will need a new home!

And I finally made a home for all of Harrison's pre-school art work!

Cute eh :)

Yay!

Harrison completed his first day without a time at at MDO today!
His teachers said he did great, and was redirected successfully, he has learned to listen more to what they say and was a very good boy today.
I am so happy for him, I was starting to worry that he was going to turn into a trouble maker!

Here is a photo of him celebrating Kent's second birthday last week.

I think this is Daniel and the lion?

And a bird from Noah's Ark.

Such a boy!

Harrison had yet another time out at school today!
I hope he starts learning his boundaries soon, he had to stay with Miss Patti at the office today because he wouldn't stop throwing toys.
I hope he gets this phase over with quickly for his teachers sake!
He did some cute art work yesterday....

This is paint and shaving foam.

And froggies :)

Harrison has finally figured out how to count, I don't mean he CAN count, I mean he knows a number represents an item.
Before counting was random, he would count to the teens and then all the numbers would sound the same. He would point to say, 5 items, and just randomly count to any old number.
Now he will point to an individual item and count it, with a single number. He counted my fingers and got to 5 (he also got to six once, be he tapped a finger twice !)
Its a big step in learning don't you think?

"Harrison sit in time out!"

This phrase is getting rather familiar after Harrison attends his MDO program!
5 days into MDO and 4 timeouts lol.
He isn't being naughty exactly, but is testing his boundaries with his teachers a lot, other than the one pushing incident he has been leaving the lunch table and wondering around with his food, so he sits in timeout! At home we strap Harrison into a booster seat, so he hasn't yet learned to sit in his seat till lunch is finished. I'm sure he will learn soon enough!
We also had a screaming incident today, something Harrison hasn't done in a while. He was wondering around the classroom screaming at the top of his lungs, surely for attention. Its kind of funny when you think about it, he used to do this allot with his buddy Jonny, they would take turns to scream, and after a while it would get so annoying. But since Jonny moved away he hasn't done it, till today. I will say in Harrison's defence that he woke up at 5 ish this morning, so was probably over tired. The teacher asked me how to distract him from the screaming, so I suggested singing, as he loves to sing, it often works at home when we are trying to avoid undesirable behavior.

His class Friday class now has a girl! His Tuesday class is still all boys, all 10 of them!
His classmate Kent turned 2 today, they had a little party, and Harrison got a party bag and treats, so cute!

My fridge is getting rather full, so I am out this weekend looking for ways to display his artwork before its filed away, or mailed away to you folks :)
See my fridge!

He is quietly napping now, I love Fridays.

Another awesome Moms Day Out!

Today was Harrison's 3rd Moms Day Out.
He had been talking about School all day the last two days, and all morning! He was so excited to go!
He ran through the outside doors, all excited, and as soon as we got to his classroom he hung on to me and cried :( Bless him.
I told him he would go have fun and play, and paint and have music, and after about 20 seconds he said "Yeah". And off he went, happy as a lamb :)
So, I don't think it will be long before he is settled right in!
He had 2 potty accidents today, and 1 success, his teacher said he was just too busy having fun.
Here is his artwork for today.

I think this must be an Angel. If you hold it upside down it looks like a frog!

He learned the letter A today, on the way home I asked him what word began with A. He told me "Airplane book!"
I guess they read a story about Airplanes.

All week this week was Noah's Ark and his Animals week.

Once again, Harrison talked non stop on the way home from school. Its so cute to hear him tell me all about his day, even if I cant understand it all!His chattering went something like this...

"Harrison go school"
"Mummy come back, Mummy bye bye."
"Airplane book, paints, school."

Its like he was making sense of all that happened, and realized that yes, when Mummy goes bye bye, she comes back!

Its so good for us all, Harrison has a ton of fun, I get to run errands and clean and hang out with Allister, and Allister gets some one on one time.
What could be better!

Tears on day two.

Harrison cried when I dropped him at Moms day Out for his second day today. It was sad to leave him, but I made a quick exit, I think lingering would just make it worse for everyone involved. There were lots of tears from many of the kids today, I think the second day is worse for most kids.
I knew he would settle down pretty quick, and he sure did!
His teachers said he was only sad for about 2 minutes, and he had a super fun time, he learned about Noah and the Ark today, and he went no:2 on the potty! They were very impressed and he got a certificate and some stickers.
When I picked him up he was talking about apples, and very excited! He had little apple stickers on his shirt, so I guess that's why :)

On the way home all he could say was "More school!!! I guess that means its a success.
Here are his art projects from today.

I love that he is learning all the Bible stories, it reminds me of my childhood.
While Harrison was busy having fun, I was busy cleaning, and hanging out with Allister.
The house was so so quiet with him gone, we missed him, but it was also nice to just be the two of us.
Both boys are now napping!
Its oh so quiet :)

First Day.

It was Harrison's first day at MDO this morning.
He LOVED IT!!!!!
He cam home in an awesome mood, went potty 4 times, or at least attempted to, and was such a good boy. He obviously loved it, and I enjoyed hanging out with Allister for the morning.

Here he is already to go in the car this morning.
We were so early we had to drive round the neighborhood.
Harrison kept saying "hurry Mummy, school!"

His SuperStar certificate.

And his crafts and art projects.

All this from just one day! I need to get a trunk :)
Expect future gifts of Harrison's art projects guys.

When I went to drop off Harrison this morning, they teacher scooped him up and off he went in the blink of an eye! So quick, I guess it helps prevent tears! I peaked through the little spy window they have and he was standing to the side of the class all quiet, not sure what to make of everything. He looked so little and lost! When I went to pick him up he screamed "Mummy!!!" at the top of his lungs and ran up to me all excited, it made me so so happy :D

So what did I do with all my time? Well it sort of vanished in a flash! I went straight to the doctors for Allister's one year check, more on that later) and didn't get home till 11:45. They were running very late! So I nursed Allister, out him down for a nap, scoffed my lunch, did 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed, cleaned Harrison's room, and then it was time to leave!
I have to say though, it was so much easier going to the doctors with just one baby!

I cant wait till Tuesday, Harrison will just love this program, its so good for all of us!

Moms Day Out.

Harrison had his first day at MDO today.
Moms Day Out, for those who don't know, is like a pre-School or Nursery school run by a church.
We went today from 9:30 till 11:30 just to look around and get to know the teachers. He will be in a class of only 4 boys, and they have 2 teachers! Pretty awesome ratio's huh.
They have a separate music, science, story and art teacher who will visit their classroom to teach.
Harrison loved it! They are all boys in his class, the teachers say the class sizes tend to grow throughout the year as Moms realize one day just isn't enough!
Harrison played in his classroom for an hour, and loved it! then we went to the playground and then the science, art and music rooms. Its a pretty awesome "school". I know he is going to have such fun there, and meet some new buddies!
He is the tallest in his class by far, although his class mates are a month or two younger than him.
His class is the "Kittens".

Here he is having a banana before the start of his big day!

Playing with the toys.

Outside in the playground, they try to take the kids out everyday.

So next Friday will be his first full day. Ill drop him off at 9:30 and pick him up at one! What will I do with myself with just one baby to take care of?

50/50

Right now Harrison is napping about 50% of the time, and that's being generous!
I guess he will be giving them up sooner than i thought, or maybe when he starts his MDO program, then preschool, he'll revert back to being a napper?
The days he naps sure are a lot easier on us all, he is an active little guy, and needs some extra sleep.
Harrison will be doing 2 days a week at his MDO, Tuesday and Friday morning 9:30-1pm. They will give him a packed lunch. I know he is going to love it! He is such a social little guy, he's going t have such fun, I cant wait to see his first craft project and hear all about his day!
I'm so excited for him :)
His first day is September 3rd.
