A Bengels Geisha?

Harrison tried on Matt's Bengals shirt, it goes down to his feet, I think he looked like a geisha girl

Pregnant me.

Some of you have asked how pregnant I am and how I feel.
So here is me at 19 weeks pregnant.

I look at least 6 months pregnant, i'm not sure how my belly can be so big as my baby isn't even the size of a melon yet!
I feel a lot better since the morning sickness ended, but the last few days have seen the return of the dreaded heart burn! And a new symptom, every time I eat the last couple of days my tummy hurts and feel nausea's............strange, I hope it passes!
We have our 20 weeks scan next week so expect some new photos then!

Our First Pumpkin Patch!

We went to our first pumpkin patch on Sunday. It was such a beautiful fall day.
Perfect!

Harrison loved the tractor that was doing the Hay rides to the pumpkin patch, he cried every time we tired to pull him away.

Harrison loves pumpkins and so enjoyed running around with them and trying to pick them all up.

When we got home Harrison placed his little pumpkin with ours, and didn't want to leave them alone.

We shall do this next year for sure, its was so much fun.

Poor Harrison.

Harrison decided he wanted a gruesome scar ready for Halloween!
Well, it didn't end up too gruesome, but it was close enough for our liking!

Daddy was stretching on the living with a big drink of water, when Harrison decided he wanted some.
He ran off with the cup and tripped, when he fell his head landed on the rim, the cut was pretty deep and bled lots! I was on Skype to Auntie Julie at the time, so she had a nice scare when I ran off saying Harrison was bleeding!
We put lots of pressure on it and it slowed the bleeding down quickly, then we went to our local ER which is only a 5 minute car ride. They glued him back together nicely, thankfully being such a clean cut they didn't do stitches.
They said it shouldn't scar too bad, we hope not! But what boy doesn't have a scar on his chin or forehead?
The photo was taken after being glued back together and all cleaned up!
He was a very brave little boy.

Who knew the sink could be so much fun?

Im not sure about the mess though......

Happy 16 months old today Harrison!

Colds.

All in the Blake household have had colds recently..............with all this nose blowing and wiping Harrison has learned to blow his nose all by himself.
All by himself he went over to the box of tissue, held them to his nose and started to blow. Of course the tissue was clean and Harrison was not, but its a good start~!

The next Jimi Hendrix?

Harrison is loving the Guitar lately.
He runs to it, says "Ga Ga" and plays.............

Thank you!

Harrison favorite new word is Thank You, although it sounds more like dadoooo. Its very cute.
We have some plastic pumpkins that he likes to play with, I figured real ones may be a bit messy in doors if he drops them!
Here's a little video....

There's a lot more videos to come, I have been very slack with uploading these so I am playing catchup! Don't forget to see a video you have to visit the actual blog, click on the link at the bottom of the page.

My Yes Man.

All I hear about is how toddlers like to say "No!" all the time! Everything is no, even if they say yes.
Well, Harrison likes to be a bit different, he's a "Yes!" man! He says yes all day long, its very cute, and I would rather hear yes than no! I'm sure the no's are coming though.

My BIG boy.

Harrison had his 15 month check up today. He's grown so much!

Weight: 26.6 lb 85 percentile
Height: 33 3/4 inches 96 percentile
Head: 47.6cm 60 Percentile

So his weight has finally caught up with his height!
My doctor recommended thinking about a toddler or twin bed already, which I don't really want to do! But he is so tall and he is already putting his foot up on the top rail, so he may be climbing out of it before too long!

Words

Here is the last list of words I came up with that Harrison says.

Ball
Balloon
Book
Mama
Woof Woof
Monkey Noises
Dada
Fish
Cat
Hat
Up
Banana
Apple
Open
Drink
That
House
Car
Tree
Dog
Poop
Yes
Hand
Bird
Hi
Fork
Shoe
Out
Hair
Horse
More
Pool
Clock
Car
Truck
Rock
Duck
Cat
Moo
Quack
Dog
Open
Again

Ive probably forgotten some, but its a pretty impressive list for my little chatter box don't you think!
We are off to Harrison's 15 month check up and shots today, we will update you later.

Pregnancy Update.

We are in the second Trimester! W'hoo!
So, where did the last 3 months go? The second pregnancy flys by.
The morning sickness has finally completely gone, the fatigue is pretty much gone too. I am starting to feel good again, and I am very happy about that. I think Matt is too as I am not as grumpy as I have been (right Matt?) Well I hope he agrees, I feel less grumpy anyhow!
We have 26 weeks to go till baby number 2 arrives, sounds close doesn't it? Baby is now over 3 inches long, and I am convinced I feel her (him?) move sometimes.
I am hoping and praying with every ounce of strength I don't swell like last time, or get the reflux, or any of the bad symptoms! I started to swell at 5 months with Harrison's so I will make the most of the next 8 weeks just in case!
This pregnancy has been very different so far, its funny how you just expect things to be the same? My hair is still falling out, it stopped with Harrison's. I am still having to shave my legs, i didn't have to for weeks at a time with Harrison! And I have been a lot sicker and more tired this first trimester. Maybe that's just because I have a one year old to run around after?
Anyway, that's it for now, I will keep you all posted on the bumps progress!

Take the Poll!

Its time to guess if we are having a baby boy or baby girl!
Take the poll on the right..........

A Masterpiece!

Here is Harrison's first major work or art.

He got this far before eating he crayons, which is a great improvement, normally we only manage 1 or 2 scribbles.

15 Months Old!

Another month passes.........................here's a little update.
Harrison is growing like a weed! He will shortly be out of 18 month old clothes and into 24 months.
He is learning new words almost every day now, his latest words are words ending in "k". Instead of satying "Boo" for Book, he now says "Gook". He says "Clock
and "Rock". He also says "more" now when he signs, so I guess he will be dropping the sign language soon and just focusing on the words! I am actually beginning to lose track of them now, at last count he was over 30 words.

Balls are still his favorite toy, closely followed by books and anything to do with animals.
We think we may be down to one nap per day now, with all the visitors its just kind of happened otherwise my guests would never get out of the house! I may just stick with it, he is sleeping longer at night, and then 2/3 hours around lunch time.
He is definitely all BOY BOY BOY! He loves to climb and use Mummy as a climbing frame, giggling and climbing all over me. He doesn't realise his own strength!
We have been using time outs over the last month or two with great effect. Mainly when he touches something or climbs on something dangerous and its been so effective that I cant remember the last time out I had to do! He is finally realising the word no and the consequences of doing something he shouldn't.
He still eats pretty much anything you put in front of him, but LOVES grapes and Spaghetti the best. Oh and hot dogs if I let him eat them, but we keep them as an occasional treat.
He is doing better at not running off, although its still a work in progress. He will hold your hand now, but not all the time.
I thinks that's all for now folks! Its been nice to get a chance to update you all, we have been MIA for a few months.
x

Puddle Love

This boy loves water, in every form!

Days out in Cincinnati

The wildlife!

See the snake?

A visit to The Jungle.

We had a visit to Cincinnati this past weekend, and Harrison got to enjoy his first Bengals game!
And what an exciting game it was too......
Harrison had not napped at all that day as we went to celebrate Jeffrey's 2nd birthday at the Newport Aquarium in the morning, then went straight to the game. Together with a cold, he did pretty well.

We got Harrison a Bengals shirt with Blake on!

He finally fell asleep around 3pm and slept through 2 touch downs, that's LOUD!

The Bengals scored what we thought was a winning touch down with seconds to go, then Denver managed to score a crazy touch down to steal the game in the final seconds.
We still had fun.

Days out.

This is some photos from some days out at the par and the Butterflies in Bloom at the conservatory down town.
Unfortunately there were barely any butterflies, I think because it the last day they release the butterfly's for the summer.

Baby Photos!

Matt and I went to our triple screen scan today, that's where they do an ultrasound and blood test to determine the chances of the baby having a genetic disorder like Downs.
Everything looked ok, and we got some cute baby photos as well.
This baby was moving around like crazy, flipping and turning and waving, so cute!
Here is baby with mouth open, you can see the little nose, ears and chin.
Here is the same photo with notes.

This is the hand and fingers and fore-arm.

The big tummy, legs, feet and that line is the umbilical cord.

This is the head on the right and the belly and legs facing you.

The head is on the left here with the hand near the mouth, then the belly and legs bent.

You can see how much baby was moving, sometimes the legs were bent, and then stretched out, and flipping either way!

Wipeout.

Poor little Harrison took a big tumble yesterday.
He was climbing (Did I mention he is a climber lol?) on the patio chairs on the screened porch, I am trying to teach him to only sit on them as they rock.
Apparently the rocking is fun.
This makes teaching him to sit on them very hard!
So I was sitting at the kitchen table, repeatedly telling Harrison to "Sit on your bottom!". 2 seconds later and the chair tips over and he flies over the top of it smack onto the floor. Needless to say, there was blood and tears and a very scared Mummy and Daddy :-(
Out came the torch, again, to find the source of the blood. A little bloody nose, a big fat lip, some cuddles and Motrin later he is back to his old self. Apart from the little bruise across his nose! His lip went down in an hour or so.
Lesson learned right, don't climb on chairs?
Only a few hours later he was doing the same thing!

Almost there!

This teething business is sloooooow!
I got a torch (or flash light for those of you who think I may be taking a naked flame to my son) and shone it inside Harrison's mouth yesterday and I could see 3 of the 4 one year moles have broken through his gums. Just one to go! His other bottom front side tooth has also broken the gum, so after this bout of teething I think we are done till 2 year molars?
Yippee!

Edited to add- I forgot about the canines....gah!
