Dear Daddy.......

9 Months.

Harrison turned 9 months yesterday, Happy 9 Month Harrison!

So, we are only months away form the BIG DAY! Harrison's 1st birthday, wow! I think he will be walking by then, can you believe it?

Some new things Harrison has accomplished recently...

Hi-Five

Taking his first step

Eating ALL table foods and no more mush

His favorite foods so far, Costco chicken and spinach ravioli, and mummy's home made chicken and apple sausages! I m kind of partial to both too! Oh and Fish sticks, which we call fish fingers in England, and chicken fingers are chicken sticks there LOL He loves peas too.

Yeasty Diaper rash from pooping at night too many times, especially in the middle of the night! (TMI)

Cruising fast too, and getting faster!

Throwing a tantrum when he isn't allowed to play with what he wants to play with, be it mummy's iPhone, the remote etc etc etc

We had Harrison's 9 month check up today....he did great!

Weight- 19lb 15oz (40%)

Height- 29 3/4 inches (75%)

Head- 45.2cm (50%)

He had 1 shot, and his iron levels tested, and everything was good, although his iron is on the lower side so we need to make sure he is eating his spinach and chicken ravioli!

First Steps!

Harrison took his first steps yesterday! It was so cool to see, and Daddy got to see when he got home too as he did it again! Yay!

I didn't manage to catch it on video, i attempted to but it just distracted him.

We will be attempting to get some evidence this weekend.

Shoes?

Robeez

I am wondering if its time to get some shoes for the little man?

He is cruising like crazy now, and when we go out we don't think to put shoes on his little feet. I forget he may want to stand or cruise around on things!

It may be time to go buy some cute Little baby boy shoes!

So now the decision is which shoes? I have no idea what shoes are best for a baby learning to walk.....All I do know is the soles must be flexible as they use their little toes to grip the floor.The shoes at the top are Robeez, these are very soft leather and the whole shoe is flexible. then threre is Pedipeds...see above, these are still flexible but have a more shoe than slipper look, like big boy shoes. Then there is Stride Rite (below) which seem to be the shoes for rough and tumble. Stride Rite have shoes for different stages, Pre-Walker, Walker etc. I don't even know if these are the only 3 good brands?

I Have no idea which of these is best, so if you have an opinion please share!

Harrison has now tried lots of food firsts! He has tried and loves.....

All sorts of fruit like; Clementines, Raspberries, Blueberries

He loves it!

Daddy and I took Harrison and Guinness for a walk to the park,
this is the first time Daddy got to swing with Harrison.

Harrison is crawling so fast i can barely keep up and just when you think the house is baby proofed it isn't....hes into everything, and doesn't understand the word no just yet!
This week he has discovered the wonder of Guinness's Crate, and the window blinds, oh and the kitchen cupboards, and Guinness's water bowl, and plugs, wires, sockets, the laptop, the bin, the screen door on the patio door, Glade plug-ins, the DVD player.......the list goes on!

Harrison Waves.

Harrison began waving while we were in California, but it was very hit and miss as to whether he wanted to do it or not. He is starting to do it more often now, here he is on his new car, which converts to a walker, waving hello!

Harrison Crawling.

Harrison has been crawling a little while now.....but I have failed to show any evidence of this! He started doing the "Army Crawl" at the end of January and it has been a slow progression from there.
