Potty update

Harrison has been doing awesome with his potty training!
I'm so proud :)
We started over the weekend, went out Monday so didn't do anything then, but over the last few days we've been nappy free except for sleep time and any trips out.
Well, today Harrison had 5 peepee's in the potty or big toilet, 1 pee on the floor, and 1 tiny accident in his undies.
What great progress!
I hope this continues......I'll keep you posted.

Another Allister video.....

Allister is already close to rolling from his back to his tummy!

Don't forget you need to go to YouTube or my blogger page to view a video :)

Finally caught on camera!

I finally managed to catch Allister rolling over, 3 times in a row!
He's such a strong boy :)
(I know I keep saying that!)
He first rolled over at 4 weeks the first time, so he's now a pro'!

Allister's first illness

Poor little Allister has an eye infection.
His left eye started to look goopy yesterday, and this morning it was crusty and watering. It doesn't seem to be bothering him, but we have antibiotic drops to put in. The doctor said he could have a blocked tear duct, which is very common in newborns, and to just keep his eye clean and it will correct itself on its own.
It will make him more susceptible to eye infections though.

He weight 16lb 6oz i think?

Allister update.

Allister is getting such a personality now its adorable.
He did his first little giggle for me yesterday, i love this phase, in fact I love them all! I am enjoying them all the more now knowing how fast they go buy, and knowing what fun is to come.

He is reaching lots of milestones now...

He can lift his head and shoulders right off the floor during tummy time.
He rolls over from his tummy still.
He is reaching out to bat at things as he recently discovered he has hands!
This has led to his finger and thumb sucking!
He also will stare at his hands as if he's thinking "Wow, look what I got!"
Hes wearing size 3-6 or 6 months clothes.

He is now sleeping a whole 5 or 6 hours a night, so therefore is only getting up once to feed. This is AWESOME! He even went 6 1/2 hours the other night! Hes been doing this a little over a week, so we are now pretty much down to 6 feeds a day and one at night. So much more manageable! He's a quick eater now too! We are done in 10-15 minutes, when you think you can spend 4 or 5 hours a day nursing in the beginning and now we are down to under 2 its amazing how much more free time you get!

Allister is starting to fall into some sort of schedule, with more predictable awake and sleep times. In fact this morning he was looking sleepy, so I laid him in his crib for the first time, and turned on his mobile. He was asleep in 10 minutes! All by himself! Anyone who has a newborn understands what a big feat that is, to just lay a baby down and for him to get himself to sleep is something most parents can only dream of. Lets hope its not a fluke!
I think my "I love to sleep" genes must be very strong!
I'm hoping this means sleep training and sleeping through the night will be as easy with Allister as it was with Harrison, no Cry It Out in this house!

Thats all for now!

The things he says....

This is short and sweet....
Harrison just picked up my old phone and this is what is his side of the conversation.

"Hello?
Hello!
Who's Talking?
It's Grammy!"

So funny.

We have a ...

Thumb Sucker!

3 years ago today.....

We moved into this house, i thought it would be interesting to see some before and after photos.
We still have a fair bit to get done, like replace the shower, decorate our bedroom etc, but it takes allot of time with little kiddies!

Old formal living room, now dining room..

Outside.

The plants have grown allot since this was taken, and we have black mulch now.

The AWFUL family room.

Kitchen, you cant see the 80's style light fixture here.

We have created lots of happy memories in this home, and love living in this area.
We hope there are many more years and memories to come!

A visit from Granddad.

I'm finally blogging about our wonderful visit from Granddad Fisk!
The last time he came to visit was before I was pregnant with Harrison, so it had been way too long.
Matt took the week off work, and we got up to loads of fun stuff, which mostly involved Harrison.

There was lots of giggles.....

and cuddling with the boys.....

and tickley mustache kisses!

We took Harrison swimming, he loved it! He went down the small slide about 100 times, and did great in his IronMan floaty suit!

There were more tickley kisses.......

and more cuddles!

We went to the zoo. The tigers were really frisky that day!

The new polar bear exhibit just opened and it was awesome.
They have a tunnel where you can watch them swim under water. Although they decided they didn't want to swim that day.

The big boys went to the Air force museum in Dayton.

Harrison repeated these 3 sentences....
"Zoom Zoom, Airplanes!"
"Oh my Gosh!"
"Bombs!"

Harrison played outside in the sand allot, we had good weather!

We had a picnic at the park.

And we went to Cosi kids science museum.
It was awesome!

Allister wasn't impressed with the museum,
but they did have the nicest nursing room I've seen!

Inside a stomach!

Reading the news!

We played with Wall-E bubbles.

And basically had a lot of fun!
Granddad even hung curtains and replaced our waste disposal unit!

Big Foot.

One month today................

And my little boy will turn 2!
How did that happen?
Harrison is such a joy, what a fun age!
(99% of the time ;0))

We will be having a birthday party for him, of course. Right now we are thinking we may have his party on Saturday June 12th, just BBQ and cake, then watch the World Cup game USA vs England. You have to root for England of course of your not invited!

Invitations to follow.

Allisters first video.

Here is Allister a couple of days ago, he's so much more alert now and is starting to baby talk.

Memories and words.

Harrison has started to remember things more and more. He will talk about things that have happened yesterday, or earlier that day. Its so nice to think that he is forming memories!

He has also started to make up his own sentences and words, and repeat things parrot style. He is learning how words are formed, for instance the other day when a sticker was put on him he said "It stucked!" Now we know it stuck is the correct way to say it, but he made the word up on his own using language rules he's learned. How cool is that!
He has also started to say "Oh my Gosh!" all the time, its so funny.

Potty training....

I have been reluctant to post anything about potty training, too much pressure! Too many opinions, including my own!
Anyway, everyone nowadays talks about "readiness" - the signs your little one should show before you should consider training them to use the big boy toilet.
We have been talking about using the potty for a while with Harrison, and we sit him on it now and then. The last few days he has started to come and tell me "stinky poopers". I check and he is clean, then within the next 30 minutes or so, he has one. So Ive been getting him to sit on the potty, but he wouldn't poop. As soon as he gets the feeling of wanting to go he gets off. I guess it feels weird right! But then BAM he goes, normally on the floor right by the potty!
Anyway, today he did it on the potty!
What a celebration we had!
I guess he is about ready to leave the diapers behind..............watch this space.

Mothers day

Sunday was Mothers Day.
Happy Mothers day to Mum Fisk and Mom Blake! We love you :)

Matt cooked me breakfast and dinner for Mothers Day, and we shared a bottle of my favorite champagne!
Yum!
I also got a whole hour long massage as a gift, I'm so excited for that! I love a massage.
Thanks boys x

Allister's 2 month check up

On Friday we took Allister for his 2 month well check at the doctors. Hes growing so fast!
He did great, got 2 shots which he really didn't like!
His stats are...

Weight: 14lb10oz - 97 percentile
Height: 25 inches - 97 percentile
Head size: 40.5cm - 60th percentile

So he's still a big boy and growing! He's getting stronger every day, he rolls from his tummy all the time now, and can hold his head real well already. He is smiling more and more and does lots of little laughs, I'll try and get those on camera soon!
His hair is still dark, but his eyes are now bright blue.
