Good job I had no plans today.,........

As my baby is sleeping the whole day away!
On a typical morning Harrison wakes up around 6:30-7am, he then plays in his crib a little while and then I go get him. After playing, breakfast, nursing and bathies he then takes a nap around 9:30-10am.
This morning he slept in a little so I put him down for his nap at 10am. He didn't want to nap though so he played a while and I listened to him on the monitor. After about 45 minutes (will this child ever nap???) Harrison decides to play the "If I throw my Bunny out of my crib Mummy will come Game". After 3 or 4 rounds of this, he gives in and goes to sleep, its around 11am by now.
Well he is still asleep. I have checked on him 1000 times, yes he is breathing and he seems happy! Just sleepy..........its now 3:52pm. I have cleaned the whole house, chatted to Auntie Jules and Grammy, caught up on emails but I know the moment I get the ironing board out he will wake up. He will also be starving hungry as he slept so long!

Fountain Fun

This weekend went to Easton Town Center. Its a nice place to walk around and shop. There is also some water fountains for the kids to play in. We decided to let Harrison have a go, thinking he was probably a little small to enjoy it with the big kids.
Boy were we wrong!

And heres a video.......

Monkey Business.

This is Harrison this morning in his new Monkey pj's.
He loves monkeys.
He loved them at the zoo.
He loves the little monkey on his Little People Zoo which goes oohoohooh
(or however you spell monkey noises!)
He loves them in books........he even says "oohoohooh" himself now, which is very cute!

This is how we nap.....

When we are sick. That's my bed and my leg which I couldn't move for
an hour yesterday.

Musician in the making?

When we were last at Grammy and Pooh-Bahs Harrison had a tinkle on the piano, he loved it.

Speaking of Grammy, Happy Birthday!
We love you!

Poor sick baby :o(

Harrison has a bad cold and an ear infection........it is so sad to see him unhappy and in pain!
I caught a cold -I am guessing from the sniffle sniffle lady who served me at Kroger, even though I slathered myself in hand sanitiser the minute I got in the car, anyway I digress- over the weekend and I managed to give it to Harrison. After lots of sniffles, a fever, grumpiness and ear pulling off to the Doctor we went today. And now he is on antibiotics and sleeping (and snoring!). I hope he feels better soon.
Oh and he is also getting one of those other teeth just to make it worse!

Imitation.

For the first time today Harrison tried to copy what grown ups do! He
grabbed my hair brush and tried to brush his hair. Very cute!

New Achievements.

Sharing.
Harrison now likes to share. He offers you his food, drink toys, anything he has! He thinks its hilarious when he feeds you his crackers, toast or whatever. I thinks its because whatever he is offering you is half eaten and soggy ;o)

Words.
Harrison has started saying more words. He now says, or attempts to say; Ball, Balloon, Book (These three words sound uncannily alike!) Mama, Dada, Guinness, woof-woof and Dog -Although after our visit to the zoo I think all animal are dog right now!

Walking.
Harrison is walking like a champ! He doesn't like to move any other way anymore. If he falls he gets back on his feet as soon as he can so he can get back on the move!

Teething.
We are getting there, the front top two are almost whole way through and the two either side are right right there!!! He is sleeping better so they must be bothering him less.

Growing.
I swear my child grows overnight sometimes! He is fast outgrowing his 12 month clothes, and will be onto whatever comes next soon. I guess there's an 18month size right?

Objects.
If you say "where is the/your..." he can point to his head, my nose, mouth, a balloon, ball, dog, monkey, Elmo (of course!), Guinness, Dada, and a few other things which I forget....

Big Boy Shoes.

Harrison has his first pair of Big Boy shoes! Well 2 pair in fact. A cute pair of trainers (tennis shoes, sneakers whatever) and a pair of sandals. He is size 5 already my big footed boy. We got Stride Rite Early walkers, they are especially designed for the stage he is at, walking but still perfecting the skill. Everything else I looked at seemed to hard soled for him at the moment. Apparently babies need new shoes every 3 months, so I guess his next pair will be the bigger boy type!

Why are baby shoes so cute?

The soles bend like this.

and this.
Thank you Grammy and Pooh-Bah.

On a side note, I am planning Harrison's first (OMG!) birthday for Saturday June 20th around noon. Make sure to save the date or you'll miss all the fun! There will bee hot dogs and beer, and cake of course. You cant go wrong with that!

Our first Mothers Day.

Harrison and I enjoyed our first Mothers day together (as opposed to one inside the other!) on Sunday. After a yummy Champagne breakfast made by Dada we went to the Zoo. Here are a few photos from the day.

1 year ago.........

and 4 days I looked like this.....

OMG I was so huge and swollen! This may put me off having another baby for good.........especially when I look at how swollen my feet were. My ankles were the size of a tree trunk!

I have been backing up my old photos and stumbled on these, i think I will file them away for a very long time!

This is my feet now their normal size, for comparison.

2 of 4

Teeth that is.
The top 2 teeth have now broken through the gums, so we are now working on the 2 either side. How long does it take or a baby to get all 20 teeth i wonder?
Too long.

Fun with Friends.

Harrison had water table play date with Jonathon today, they had lot of fun!

Jake also paid Harrison a visit to ply this week.
He's a lucky boy.

An early Birthday Gift.

Grammy and Pooh-bah got Harrison an early Birthday Gift this last weekend. A water and sand play table! Harrison loves it, I know we are going to have hours and hours of fun with it! It comes with a little shade umbrella for outside and there is one side for water and one side for and. We are going to keep just water in it for a while as I think the two will create a lot of mess! Maybe one day we will be brave enough to have and too. Here's a little video, although I am sure there will be plenty more where this comes from!

Thanks you Grammy and Pooh-Bah

More Walking...

Harrison is walking more and more everyday, and crawling and cruising less! Its so much fun to watch and so exciting for me and Daddy!

Here is some more video so you can see how well he is doing.

Excuse my slobby-ness and slippers.....i didn't dress up for the camera ;-)

Wanted Urgently.

Bunny!

Before Harrison was born I bought him a luvvie. It was a small (around 10-12 inches) square fuzzy blue blanket with a satin blue trim. On the front it had a little pocket, inside the pocket? A cute fluffy little white bunny. Inside the bunny is a little bell, and on the front it says ittybit and there is a little orange carrot.
This bunny has become a favorite of Harrison. He uses it to comfort and get to sleep, he rubs it on his face, sucks on the feet and shakes the bell.
This is all fine, and rather cute don't yo think? Only I cant find a replacement bunny, and the one I have is already raggedy! I think I bought it from Babies R Us, so if you find one, in blue, pink, orange, whatever, PLEASE can you let me know. I think it may save us few tantrums in the future when raggedy bunny gets lost or falls apart at the seems.
Oh and the blanket was eaten by Guinness many many months go, i guess both my boys need a new luvvie!
