We Have a Walker! (mostly...)

Harrison can, and does, now walk the length of the kitchen! He walks more than he crawls now, so I figure I can now say he walks right? He will first try to walk to whatever he wants to get to, and then crawl if he falls down, or just walk the long way round holding lightly onto furniture and walls. Its amazing how you can get around whole house that way!
It really wont be long before he is walking everywhere.

I was trying to get some cute photos of him in his new shorts, its been over 80f/28c this last week.

Harrison has a sulky face like Matt because I told him he isn't lowed to play with Guinness' tether!

I was watching Harrison nap this morning and he looked so big! He's
growing up so fast.
I think he grew over night.

I heart tylenol...and motrin...but not teething.

Harrison's still working on his 4 top teeth. His middle left is almost through and the one next to it is right there too. I think its going to be a long few weeks! Harrison didn't nap yesterday afternoon and he woke up in pain just before 12 last night. He was awake till gone 3am, fun.
Its funny, when he was awake at night as a new born it didn't bother me as much as it does now, i guess because I know he CAN sleep through now. I hate to admit it but I get cross with him when I am tired and he wont sleep, then I feel guilty! I think that comes with being parent!
Anyhow, after dose of Motrin (Ibuprofen) all was well and we got some sleep.
Phew.

Harrison's inventive teething idea.

I didn't catch most of it on camera, but he had his head in the bowl for a few minutes before I got out the camera. So funny.

Sorry about the lack of clothes, he doesn't like to get dressed so sometimes i just give in! And anyhow, I always think diaper bums look cute :o)

A sign at last

I have been trying to get Harrison to do baby sign language for months, i was about to give up. I had stopped making much of an effort, and then today he signed! At last! I guess I will start putting some more effort in again now.

Harrisons First Car

Harrison got a Car for Easter! He loves it, Daddy has been pushing him around in it lots over the weekend. Lets hope he can drive forwards soon, he only manages to go backwards so far. You may feel a little sick towards the end of the video watching the round and round in circles.

Teeth!

Harrison is getting his top teeth. He has been busy chewing on his
fingers as much as possible the last few days and this morning was
fussy and unhappy. I got a glimpse of a little white top tooth! We may
be in for an unhappy few days as I hear the top 4 come in all together!

Happy 10 Months Old Harrison!

Harrison is now 10 months old. The last couple of months have been so much fun, he gets more and more fun every day. He will be walking any day now, at least by 11 month i am sure! And he is starting to copy sounds and make an effort to speak too. What a difference a few months make!

Harrisons Easter

For Easter I got a Lamb, I named him Larry, he is my new BFF...

I got to hang out with some of my favorite people, Great Grandma Mimi...

And cousin Gracy too.

I spent lots of time hugging Larry he is soooo soft~

I also played with my new Guitar like Daddy's Guitar.

I found lots of Easter Eggs in the Easter Egg hunt and ate Mac & Cheese with Ham and asparagus.

It was a fun first Easter!

Harrison says Guinness

Harrison said Guinness at the weekend! It sounded more like GaNa, but it was Guinness for sure. He has been saying Ga meaning Guinness for a while and says Ga when he sees other dogs too. We caught it camera this time........

We took Harrison to visit the Easter Bunny! Fortunately he liked him (Her?) and didn't cry! We got a cute photo......I can email this to you (and any others) for printing, just let me know!

The Easter Bunny brought Harrison an Easter Basket, it had a teether bunny, books, some toddler-suitable treats and snacks, bubbles, a toothbrush and a cool Guitar like Daddy's!
We are off to Gammy and Pooh-bah Easter Sunday for an Easter Egg hunt!

Harrison Walks!

Harrison took more than just a step or two today! Aaaaand we caught it on video! Aaaaand the video has Mummy in it! Wow! Wow! Wow!

7 steps, count them, they're not big steps, but they're steps and i say there's 7!

Harrisons New Potty.

It seems everybody has an opinion on Potty Training! Start too early and you put too much pressure on the child and cause some sort of permanent harm, too late and toddlers have a fear of toilets and are in diapers till they are 4 or 5! My opinion is start earlier rather than later, but not in infancy like some people do. I will add that 50% of the worlds children are toilet trained by the age of 1 (according to Contemporary Pediatrics magazine).

So opinions aside, i bought a potty. As many of you know Harrison has been suffering form a lot of nappy/diaper rash. Because of this we have been having allot of naked bum time! So, if hes going to be naked and pee on the floor why not pee in a potty! So this morning I sat him on his potty for the first time before his bath (he always pees in the bath) and he peed in his potty right away! Now I wont be actually doing what i consider potty training for a little while, we are just getting familiar with the little froggy for now.

Balls

Harrison loves to play catch and basketball , well a 9 1/2 month old version of catch and basketball!

He doesn't realise he has to get the ball through the hoop, as long as it lands in the blue section in the bottom he thinks hes got it figured out!

2 steps!

Harrison took 2 unassisted steps yesterday! It takes some encouragement for him to do this as he crawls at lightening speed he doesn't need to walk! I guess it wont be too much longer before he figures this whole walking thing out ;O)
