Allister update.
All day every day they are pirates, knights, magicians, doctors. The works :)
He loves to wrestle with his brother and daddy. And jump on them!
He LOVES his moms day out!
Like really really loves it.
He gets so excited to go, and has a blast. All the teachers adore him, because who wouldn't.
He is enthusiastic about all the art project and songs. It's very cute.
Some other news.
He still climbs into bed with mummy and daddy about 80% of the time.
He loves to be throw tantrums! Yes the terrible twos have hit :) big time!
He will scream and flay and all sorts, it quite amusing.
He LOVES animals. Especially cats. And always wants to visit Janet's house becasue she has some!
He loves his cuddly toys, his favorites are Ducky, Doggie and Time Out Bear.
If you ask him certain questions he will always answer "NO! My Allister!" this is his standard response for questions like- Are you tired? Are you hungry? Are you grumpy? etc.
He's about 90% potty trained! Yay! He will stay dry about 90% of the time, he just won't ask to go all the time yet. But he will hold it for like 4 hours which is great at his young age. He doesn't always get his number twos in yet either, but he is so close to being done. He's been in big boy pants since about July.
He and Harrison chit and chat all day long! It's so cute to listen to. they play together so sweetly, they do, of course, still fight, but it's not that often.
His favorite food is Peanut Butter. He still loves Pirate everything and loves to play with cars right now too! His favorite book is Llama Llama Mad at Mama. He knows it by heart and we take turns to read lines. His favorite part is when Little Llama get mad, and Allister likes to imitate him.
He's wearing mostly 3T now, but still fits some of his 2T. His shoes are size 9. I think he may be a little shorter than Allister at this age?
Anyhow, there's a little update on Chumble 2.

Teacher Conference.
Tonight I met with Harrisons Pre-school teacher for our first teacher conference.
I have to say, I'm so proud :)
He got a glowing report, and he's come a long way in such a short space of time.
Here are the main points while I remember them.
He is friends with everyone in his class. Makes friends easily and likes everyone equally. This is important in his role as "peer" to treat both average kids and special needs the same.
He is keen to be a leader and thrives in the role.
He listens and follows directions.
He has awesome scissor skills! This is funny to me because his daddy could not cut ;)
He has a huge imagination, loves to do imaginative play, role play, and make up stories. Miss Kellie said he is particularly strong in this area.
They do lots of "tests" every month. These tests are just to gauge progress, and vary. So for example they are asked to write their name, draw a picture of themselves, count things and so on.
His progress in such a short amount of time is astounding to me. He was SO ready for is learning!
The picture he drew of himself changed, from a typical circle body and head, to one with with a square body, which now also had hands a feet. Drawing and writing are an area he needs to work on, so this improvement has been awesome.
He knows all his shapes but struggled with rectangle.
He can count to 13, and recognize numbers to 10. 11 became one and one and so on.
He knew 18 of his alphabet, this was at the beginning of the year and hasn't been retested. I think he would get almost all of them now.
He knew all his colors, and brown and purple where his favorite :) it used to be green!
He can sequence items, he got up to 6.
His letter and name writing have improved hugely! This is one of two areas he needs work on, his fine motor skills have lacked, mostly due to confidence not ability. He can write his name, and is now keep to improve and do better. Before he wouldn't even try, I'm so happy his teachers have been able to build this confidence in him.
The other area that needs help is his independence. Even though he has the ability to put on his own coat, shoes, or do things for himself, he often still asks for help.
I'm trying to remember these things as they come to me so excuse the rambling!
They said he was above average in all areas, about 70%. He will be more than ready for kindergarten!
Yikes!
Were so happy and proud of out baby. He has grown so much, and is the sweetest boy. I'm so glad this school is such a good fit for him, he is growing and prospering in all areas and we couldn't be happier :)

Harrison's first field trip.
What a fun morning we had today!
We went to Jaquamin farms on a pumpkin patch field trip.
It was so fun, all of Dublin Pre-Schools were there today, so we saw lots of friends who don't go to Harrisons class.
Above is all of Harrison class learning about pumpkins and gourds. Who new there were so many! From a standard Pie Pumpkin, a Phat Pumpkin, Cloud Pumpkin and so many more.
The other pictures are Harrison, Lila and Isra running through the hay maze, and then Harrison, Isra and Maggie from his class. He likes girls can you tell?
Below is Harrison Isra (there attached at the hip) and Carter.
Harrison and his Pumkin!
Harrison and Isra (see!)
And again being goofy :)
It was such a fun morning! It's such a treat to be able to spend one-on-one with each of the boys. Now I think I'll take Allister by himself too?
We bought home some yummy pumpkin donuts.
