Object permanence.

Allister has developed Object Permanence recently, every time I walk away he screams!

Not a happy baby, I have to distract him so I can be out of site.

A significant, and annoying, Milestone :)

I hope this separation anxiety passes soon.

Surgery Update.

Allister's surgery is tomorrow at Columbus Children's Hospital. We arrive at the hospital around 9:30am and he is scheduled for 11:40am. they expect him to be in surgery around 20-30 minutes, plus preparation time. He will then go to recovery for an hour or so.

They will try and do his anesthesia via a mask, apparently they scent it so it smells yummy! Then they can do his IV etc while he is asleep. I can breastfeed him at 5am then nothing but water or pedialite till 9am. I can also nurse him as soon as he is out of recovery, I'm so glad I breast feed, otherwise he would be so uncomfortable!

We will update via Facebook as it reaches out to everyone at once, so as soon as we have him out of recovery check my updates! don't assume any updates until at least 2pm I guess.

Allister is sitting really well now!

Allister's 6 month Stats.

I took Allister for his 6 months well check up today.

He's not quiet as big as our scales put him, so he could have stayed in his infant car seat, oh well better safe than sorry!

Weight: 19lb 9 oz (90th %)

Height: 27 3/4 inches (90th %)

Head 44.7cm (75%)

He got 3 shots, including this years flue shot, and he did great after the silent cry!

It was a lot easier to go to the doctors with just one baby! Oh how easy life is with one :)

Although when its your first you don't realize and everything seems so tough, funny how things change!

6 Whole Months Today!

Allister is 6 months old today, can you believe a whole half year has passed already!?

Its crazy, where did my new baby go, he'll be mobile before we know it :)

We have Allister's 6 month well check tomorrow, so I will let you know his stats then, but he is close to 22lb I know, so we have taken him out of his infant car-seat already, and as he isn't completely sitting up yet its been hard taking him places as he cant sit in the trolley (cart) very well, and he is very heavy for the baby Bjorn!

He is eating very well now, loves his food!

He will scoot around the floor allot, and has just figured out how to crawl backwards, we know whats next!

He can get his knees right up under himself now, so I know crawling is not too far off.

He talks non stop, and smiles all day long.

His hair is getting crazy long, and just like Harrison at this age, its looks very red. I'm not sure he will be red though, i'm still betting on brown.

He has kept his big blue eyes, and has the chunkiest, cutest, edible thighs :)

He's still sleeping through the night, and shows lots of teething signs but none have come trhough yet, although he loves to bite while nursing so I am very happy about that!

He grabs at everything he sees and loves Guinness right now!

Harrisons first Cup.

Matt and I have started to teach Harrison to use a sippy cup, he is a very quick learner as you can see! He doesn't really drink anything out of it yet, but he sure likes to use it as a teether!
