Test blog from iPad

I have a new iPad. It's my Christmas present to myself, Christmas will be less exciting for me this year.
The main reason I wanted an iPad was to blog. I love my little blog, yet I have found little time for it of late. And sitting at the computer with a 3 year old and a 1 year old is near on impossible. This way I can blog form the table, the gym, the sofa, even the car!
The only problem? Blogger is not compatible with the iPad, you can't just pop on over to Safari (the iPad and Apples web browser) and start typing. Don't you wish it was that easy! So my hunt for the perfect Blogging app has begun. I have done some research, and it seems there isn't a lot of great apps out there. All are lacking, but this one, Blogsy, is new and different. It has some rave reviews, and some bad ones too. So far I like it, but so far I've attempted just 2 paragraphs!
I'm am no techy, I'm not computer savvy. I know more than most housewives I think, but less than most of the teenage population. I don't know HTML code, but I can google it!
Some of the reviews say that this app is not intuitive. I would say otherwise. For anyone with any kind of computer knowledge or background, even as basic as mine, I think it's pretty easy to pick up. I have managed thus far without reading any kind of manual or help. A big BIG plus for me is it's spell checking as I type! Now if only it did the same for my grammar.
So I need to upload some photos and videos so I can see how that goes, and maybe then play around with fonts and stuff. So far this is great. And Blogsy promise good things in future updates! An update as simple as an undo button would be great! And an auto save function.
So here goes.......a photo and a video.

But before that, I just realized I should have read the instructions. I though I'd lost this blog and rewrote it, only to find it in "local" otherwise known as drafts! Never mind..... Onto a video and a photo.

Well that seemed simple enough! If your videos are on YouTube just drag and drop. Couldn't be simpler! Ok a photo, from my iPhone first.

Ok so that wasn't so simple, I didn't realize you HAVE TO HAVE a picassa, wordpress or Flickr account even when uploading from your iPhone? So I'll try that later, now I'll try from a web site. Not sure if that works either.

So this photo I copied from Facebook, you can load a photo from any web page, trouble is it wouldn't let me have the full size version so that's not going to work well unless you just want a thumbnail I guess.

Anyway, I feel that this Blogsy does pretty much everything I would need! I'm excited! I just need to figure out the photo storage thing and I'm good to go. Expect some couch blogging from me in the near future!

Claire

Now lets see if this published ok!
Oh and the video was taken yesterday, the boys and I spent a good deal of the day playing and dancing because I've been I'll with a cold.

Allister Update.

I thought it was about time I did an update on my little man! He is so adorable right now, and I have been so busy this summer that I don't have much time to blog. Matt is also working a lot of hours lately, so we've been tired and busy!

So Allister is now 17 months old.
He has been getting a lot of teeth lately, and he is really not dealing with it well. And therefore neither am I :(
He is cutting molars, finally! 3 have broke through and 1 is on its way, together with the missing side tooth from his bottom set. I may even see the beginnings of his pointy teeth too. So all in all he has been a grumpy baby! He has also had a slight cold, some kind of virus (we think) that keeps gicing him hives. Although we are watching to make sure its not a food allergy.
So most nights he wakes up screaming, and I don't mean just screaming, I mean SCREAMING!!!!! Like the world is coming to an end screaming, he wakes up the whole house. And maybe next door too. Im surprised the police have not been called.
This happens at least once a night, maybe 3 or 4 times. I try not to pick him up because I don't want that habit, and he settles pretty quick once I appear. I lay on the floor beside the crib and he settles down back to sleep. I try to sneak out and hear a little whisper "Mumeeeee" caught red handed! So I lay some more, until I then fall asleep on the floor!
Its no fun, and Im hoping once this last molar breaks through he will stop suffering, and we can all get some sleep.

On a brighter note, he is talking up a storm!
His latest list of words added to the first list are.....

Eyes, Up, Arm, Soap -bup
Wash, Sign potty, More
Nooooo- this is a favorite!!!!!
Yes, Tea, Juice, Cup,
Hat, Teeth, Fish, Hi
Trash, Bah Bye, Birdi, Buzz, Woody,
Tweet tweet, Whoo whoo owl,
Choo choo, Buzzzzz buzzzzz for bee,
Grape - bup, Soap sup, Trash, Pop (as in lolly)
Cup - dup, Pool, Drum, Phone
Uh oh, Peepee, Cat, Duck, Jump,
Arm, Tummy, Nose, Eyes, Umi zoomi,
Bubble guppies (buba buba)
Tee for TV

I know Ive missed lots here, he's got to the stage now where I lose track he is saying so much. I love it! He has also started saying a few two word sentences, like "Hot Tea!" just like Harrison.

He can point to several body parts, Arm, Toes, Nose, Eyes, Head, Hands, Tummy.

He loves the word NO! and says it so cutely, in his little squeaky voice :)

We love our little man!

The Carolinas.

During the rest of our whistle-stop tour we drove around downtown Charleston.
What a beautiful city that is! We will be going back soon I hope so we can walk around and explore.
Here are some of the modest beach houses in downtown Charleston.

We did a little bit of site seeing on our way around town.

And drank lots of coffee!

I cant wait to go back.

A (foggy!) day at the beach.

Living in Ohio Harrison has never been to the beach. This makes me sad, seeing as I spent almost my whole life living within 2 miles from the English channel! So, despite the weather, off we went for a walk along the beach!

As you'll see Harrison loved it! Running, climbing and digging.

Here are some very cute photos!

Lets hope to see some sun at our next beach trip!

A visit with Great-Gram

Harrison and Gram finally got to meet! They sure had fun together...................

Marathon Matt

We went to North and South Carolina with Grammy and Pooh-Bah in December. Matt wanted to run his 11th full Marathon (hes crazy) and we wanted to go visit Great-Grandma (Gram) for the first time! She hadn't met Harrison before (Only in utero) so it was way past due!

We flew into NC on Friday, Harrison was an absolute star on the plane, especially seeing as we got him up at like 5 am! Matt ran the Marathon on Saturday, he did so well despite the unusually cold weather and hilly course! Congrats Matt- Your awesome :O)
Before the Marathon- It was cold!

Harrison ready to cheer Daddy on!

Matt as he crossed the finish line- Just over 3 hrs!

My boys after the race.

Harrison eating Daddies after run nutrition!

After the Marathon, we headed on to South Carolina........

(I'm updating the blog from way back, so you'll be bombarded with lots of fun, but old news :)

Wall-E

One of the first Movies Harrison ever saw as a new born was Wall-E. Watching movies with a tiny baby is easy! They sleep or eat through it.
Now, seeing a movie with a Toddler is a whole different story :)
So we were very surprised when Matt brought home the DVD Wall-E and Harrison pretty much sat through the whole film! He loves it, and likes to say ooops (or Oooop) a lot! He points out many of the things in the film, like the bug, the clocks etc. He can also say Earth, Moon and Sun now too!

I wonder if there are any other films that would have this same appeal?

Sometimes we let things slide.......

We had had a lot of sickness in this house recently.
As a result our dress sense is sometimes a little, shall we say, individual?

Harrison is feeding Elmo his milk.

The last days of fall.

We had such a beautiful November here in Ohio. We spent lots of days playing outside, but now we are ready, if not happy, to hide away for winter.
Harrison loved playng in the leaves.

Christmas is coming

Harrison helped decorate the Christmas tree this year. He hung his first and second Christmas ornaments.

He loves the tree, he says Teee Teee Teee every time he sees it, ad we have to go and play with everything hanging on it.
He likes to tell you all about the ornaments and can name the balls, bells, Guinness ornament, Santa, Guitar, Bear, lights the number Two, the train, car and many more!

Bunny.

So we found another bunny.
Harrison knows its not his bunny, other than the blue tag on the front its the same. But its clean and doesn't smell.
Any ideas on how to turn a nice fluffy clean bunny into a smelly old dirty one so Harrison will love it?

Cheeky Pants.

Due to a bout of nappy rash Harrison spent a day or two in big boy pants
(that's English pants as in Underpants!)
He will hate me for his when he is older but how cute is this?
And those are Fisk legs if I ever saw them :)

This rubber spachelor is great for teething!

Harrison pooped on the potty!

Yay! We haven't been potty training, but because I have been ill with a bad cold I have been unable to detect poop smell coming from any direction! So yesterday Harrison must have sat in his poop for a while, because he was very sore and very red :( Bad mummy!
Because of this we had bare bum time today, and I sat Harrison on the potty after lunch, the big toilet with a potty seat on it. And he pooped! I said poop on the potty, and he did, I am so proud bless him. Now when I thought he was done we got him up and he squatted and pooped and peed on the floor he he he. But never mind that, it was still easier to clean up than a poopy nappy and a sore bum!
I have been thinking about starting potty training about now, he will be 18 months at Christmas so I thought we would try for a week and see how ready he is. This makes me think he is more ready than i thought, but potty training is such a process I totally get why people wait so long.

17 Months.

Harrison turned 17 months today. He's almost a year and a half old!

He said his first "sentence" yesterday. Or at least two words together
anyway....and what did he say you ask!?
"Hot tea!"
Cute and oh so English!

Harrisons getting his pointy teeth right now and has not been sleeping
or napping as well as usual. We have been doing lots if snuggling on
the couch.
